Parents as PartnersIn Scoil Fionntáin Naofa parents are regarded as being key partners in the education of their children, The school appreciates the immense support that the Parents Association give to the school. Parents as a group have a wide range of talents, abilities and skills that have the potential to enrich and extend the educational opportunities provided for pupils.
At the beginning of each school year, there is an Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Parents' Association to elect parents to steer the committee. The Parents' Association meet to discuss school issues and to organise school events. Joining the Parents' Association is a great way to get involved in school-life, meet other parents, and understand all that goes on in the school. The Parents' Association makes a very worthwhile contribution to the school community. It is a framework through which parents can work together with the other stakeholder groups to achieve the best possible education for their children/the pupils in the school. The Parents' Association works with the principal, staff and the Board of Management to build effective partnerships between home and school. |
