Physical ActivityHere in Scoil Fionntáin Naofa, we love being active as you can see! This is why it was such an easy decision for us to work towards renewing our Active Flag for our school. Pupils are encouraged to be as Active as possible during break times. Playground leaders organise fun and engaging games for the infant room. We also have Funky Friday every Friday where the pupils get a chance to showcase their dance moves. We are very fortunate to have a walking circuit of 1.6km near our school which we use for our Walk on Wednesdays. Our Active Walkway has also been established and we walk for ten minutes before school starts every Friday. At the end of every month, the children engage in #FeelGoodFriday where there are different activities including skipping challenges, World Cup Tournaments and Spooky Workouts. Finally, we are focusing on reducing Sedentary time so the pupils in all classes are engaging in a wide range of activities to get them up and active as often as possible.
