The Blue Star Programme
The Blue Star Programme teaches primary school pupils about European cultures and the EU through creative activities and projects which complement the Primary School Curriculum. The purpose of the programme is to foster a better understanding and knowledge among pupils of Europe and how it affects the lives of Irish citizens,
The programme contains different elements namely:
1. Historical;
2. Geographical;
3. Cultural & Creative;
4. Institutional;
5. Europe Day;
6. V.I.P Visits.
The pupils in the Senior Room took part in the Blue Star Programme for the first time in the school year 2021-2022. and were awarded 'Blue Star' status as can be seen below. The took part in the 'Blue Star' Programme' for the second year in 2022-2023 and were again awarded 'Blue Star' status in recognition of their engagement and participation.
