A school is much more than a building where the primary aim is the pursuit of academic excellence. It is about the pupils that learn there, the people that support the work that is done therein, the people that visit the building and about the high quality learner experiences that are facilitated there on a daily basis. The curriculum taught in primary schools is firmly based on holistic principles where all aspects of the development of the child are taken into account. In working to fulfill those holistic principles, there are many aspects of school life which we cherish and which we wish our pupils to experience during their time in Scoil Fionntáin Naofa: academic, sporting, spiritual, artistic and environmental elements to name but a few. We also place great emphasis on developing a truly inclusive learning environment for all pupils where differences are acknowledged, valued and respected.
